Description

The Tășnad Smart Specialization Park is an innovative initiative of the Municipality of  Tășnad aimed at fostering regional economic development and innovation. The park is managed by SALGARDENPREST TĂȘNAD SRL, whose mission is to attract investment and support both local and international entrepreneurship.

The project benefits from €4.25 million in funding through the North-West Regional Programme 2021–2027, dedicated to building modern infrastructure. In addition, a pre-allocated budget of €4.11 million is reserved for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that will become residents of the park, offering them significant financial support for growth.

Support for the development of park infrastructure and utilities
Assistance for implementing smart specialization projects, including:

  • Construction of buildings and acquisition of equipment, machinery, and installations
  • Research, development, and innovation (RDI) activities

Other incentives may be granted by local public authorities according to applicable legislation

SALGARDENPREST TĂȘNAD SRL is a fully publicly-owned company, with the Town of Tășnad as its sole shareholder. Established in 2010, the company has over a decade of experience providing essential public services at the local level.

Over time, SALGARDENPREST has engaged in diverse activities including waste collection and treatment (including hazardous waste), sanitation services, passenger and freight transport, and landscape maintenance.

The company’s core competencies include operational and financial management of public infrastructure, monitoring and control of ongoing operations, risk management, and public project reporting. SALGARDENPREST also has strong experience working with local and national authorities and is well-positioned to implement administrative measures aligned with European project standards. These capabilities ensure efficient, sustainable, and transparent management of the Tășnad Smart Specialization Park.

Given that the concept of innovation is relatively new in the region, the project team will actively collaborate with:

  • Technology Transfer Centers (TTCs) – 5 active centers offering technology transfer, consultancy, testing, innovation support, and funding access
  • Technology Information Centers (TICs) – 2 centers working in fields such as environment, mechanics, ICT, and tourism
  • Industry Liaison Offices (ILO) – facilitating research–industry cooperation
  • Regional RDI Network – over 300 entities (institutes, research stations, universities, and R&D-focused companies)
  • ReNITT – the national innovation infrastructure network including TTCs, TICs, ILOs, incubators, and science parks
