Șomcuța Mare Smart Specialization Park

Description

The Șomcuta Mare Smart Specialization Park, strategically located in the southwest of Baia Mare municipality, is an innovative project developed by the Maramureș County Council. Its main objective is to stimulate collaboration among companies, academic institutions, research centers, public authorities, and other relevant entities, thus creating a conducive environment for innovation and economic development.

Managed by Maramureș Business Park, the park aims to attract both local and international investors by offering logistical support and facilitating strategic partnerships with higher education and research institutions. These collaborations are essential for knowledge and technology transfer, contributing to the region's competitiveness.

The project benefits from a funding of 3.4 million euros obtained through the North-West Regional Program 2021-2027, aimed at developing the necessary infrastructure. It also benefits from a pre-reserved budget of 10 million euros for resident SMEs.
