The selection process for the 3rd edition of the LevelUP Health & Life Sciences Accelerator has been completed, and the program has officially kicked off with a new cohort of 15 startups in the health and life sciences space.
This year, the program attracted strong interest, with over 60 applications from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Lithuania, Ukraine, Italy, Finland, and beyond. The selection process was not an easy one — we came across many promising solutions and high-potential teams. It’s encouraging to see, year after year, a growing number of initiatives in the health & life sciences sector and a strong drive to innovate in this field. In the end, 15 startups were selected to join this year’s cohort.
The new cohort reflects the diversity and complexity of the healthtech ecosystem, ranging from AI-powered solutions for diagnosis and research to digital platforms for patients and emerging technologies such as virtual reality and medical devices.
Selected Startups
CLARA – An AI-based diagnostic solution that automates the interpretation of cervical cytology tests (Pap smears), significantly reducing reporting time.
MedRadar – A mobile app that provides real-time visibility into medication availability in nearby pharmacies.
Medical Pilot – A software platform that guides digestive endoscopy procedures in real time and automatically generates medical reports.
Ciklo – A platform for endocrinology and gynecology clinics that helps identify patients’ exposure to environmental chemicals affecting hormonal balance.
Cortiscope – An AI solution that analyzes MRI images and automatically measures brain tumors, supporting clinical decision-making.
Aiudit Systems – A platform that automates compliance checks for hospitals, pharmacies, and laboratories, without transferring sensitive data outside the institution.
Pioneera Biosciences – A precision oncology platform using AI to accelerate the development of cellular therapies and make them more accessible.
Bloomplate – A personalized nutrition platform that helps users build healthier eating habits through simple, tailored guidance.
Symptive – A digital platform for women in perimenopause and menopause, offering symptom tracking and personalized recommendations.
AISynaps – A digital network for physicians that enables interdisciplinary collaboration and provides AI-powered support for diagnosis.
VR ExoSuit – A fitness exoskeleton that combines physical exercise with virtual reality, creating an interactive training experience.
TinsMed – An AI platform that processes complex biomedical research data and turns it into actionable insights.
Brain Health Labs – A portable EEG system for long-term brain activity monitoring, including at-home use.
VR NeuroLink AI – A VR-based medical platform for diagnosing and monitoring balance disorders and patient recovery.
HealthHub – A care platform for chronic patients that connects patients, doctors, and pharmacists, and monitors treatment adherence.
The program began with an introductory bootcamp, where startups started working on refining their direction, defining their roadmap, and setting clear objectives for the months ahead, alongside mentors and experts from the ecosystem.
In the coming period, each startup will be matched with a mentor and will go through a series of workshops, mentoring sessions, and consultancy, all designed to accelerate their development and prepare them for the next stages of growth.
