Budget
EIT Urban Mobility may provide financial support of up to €2.5 million per company. The funding targets startups developing breakthrough urban mobility solutions and already engaged in an active fundraising round. EIT Urban Mobility aims to participate in these rounds alongside venture capital funds or other private investors and will normally not lead the funding round.

Details
The call aims to strengthen Europe’s capacity to innovate in urban mobility and support the growth of pre-seed, seed and Series A companies. Funded solutions should have impact in one or more of the following sectors: • Urban logistics • Shared mobility and public transport • Mobility data management • Electrification of transport and alternative fuels • Health and mobility EIT Urban Mobility encourages projects creating synergies between these areas, such as data-driven and AI solutions for the public sector or electrification in urban logistics.
Eligibility
The call is open to legal entities established in EU Member States or in Third countries associated with Horizon Europe. Startups must meet the following criteria: • Be engaged in an active fundraising round, pre-seed, seed or Series A • Target the urban mobility market with the proposed innovation • Not currently be part of the EIT Urban Mobility equity portfolio • Have a company pre-money valuation not exceeding €50 million • Have individual founders or executive team members jointly holding more than 40% of the company’s equity before the current fundraising round • Have a prototype, pilot or Minimum Viable Product
Additional information
Startups may not apply to three consecutive cut-offs. After submitting to two consecutive cut-offs, they must skip at least the following cut-off before applying again. Proposals with diverse teams and clear strategies for inclusive innovation will be positively assessed. After submission, EIT Urban Mobility checks eligibility and admissibility, and eligible proposals are then evaluated with the support of independent expert evaluators.
