Budget
Funding is available up to €60,000 per third party. The call will fund up to 18 projects, within the total available budget of up to €1,000,000. Funding covers 70% of eligible costs. Up to 25% pre-financing may be provided, with further payments linked to milestones and deliverables. A maximum of 20% of the budget may be allocated to equipment and consumables.

HEDGE-IoT Open Call 2 aims to support the development of innovative IoT-enabled and data-driven energy services that can be validated in real-world demonstrators. By participating, SMEs and startups can: • Leverage HEDGE-IoT’s distributed digital solutions • Demonstrate the interoperability and scalability of their solutions • Contribute to advancing energy consumer services • Support the EU energy transition Selected projects will receive funding, mentoring and support to integrate their developed services into the HEDGE-IoT framework.
Eligibility
SMEs and startups legally established in Horizon Europe participating countries may apply. Eligible entities must develop IoT-enabled and data-driven energy services.
Additional information
Proposals will be evaluated based on technical excellence, innovation potential and alignment with HEDGE-IoT goals. Evaluation criteria include: • Excellence — innovative, high-quality proposals aligned with the call objectives • Impact — contribution to strengthening SMEs’ market position and improving energy consumer services • Technical Quality — well-defined use cases, integration strategies and implementation plans • Work Plan Feasibility — clear objectives, risk management and resource allocation
