The funding available per company is up to €2,500,000 (€2.5M), provided through co-investment alongside private investors (VCs or other co-investors) in an active funding round. EIT Urban Mobility does not take on the role of lead investor. The minimum pre-money valuation must not exceed €50M.

EIT Urban Mobility provides funding of up to €2.5 million per company for startups (at pre-seed, seed, or Series A stages) developing innovative solutions for sustainable urban mobility. The objective is to accelerate the transition toward low-emission, less congested, and safer cities. In addition to financial support, the initiative facilitates co-investments alongside venture capital funds and fosters partnerships between industry, cities, and startups. The program targets startups with an existing MVP/prototype, a pre-money valuation of up to €50 million, and that are currently in an active fundraising round.
Eligibility
The startup must be involved in an active funding round (Pre-seed, Seed, or Series A). EIT Urban Mobility does not act as a lead investor but co-invests alongside private partners. Field of activity: The proposed innovations must address the urban mobility market. Application frequency: The company cannot apply to three consecutive cut-off dates. After two consecutive applications, it must skip at least one deadline before submitting again. Relationship with EIT: The startup must not already be part of EIT Urban Mobility’s equity portfolio. Financial valuation: The company’s pre-money valuation must not exceed €50,000,000. Ownership structure: Founders or the executive team must collectively hold more than 40% of the startup’s shares prior to the current funding round. Solution maturity: The startup must have a prototype, pilot project, or minimum viable product (MVP). Geographic eligibility: The entity must be legally registered in an EU Member State or a country associated with the Horizon Europe program.
