Budget

EIT Health finances up to 50% of the total project budget, with a maximum grant of €850,000 per project. The commercializing company (lead) must sign a Financial Sustainability Contribution Agreement. If the commercializing entity is a micro or small enterprise, it must receive between €400,000 and €500,000 of the grant. Funded duration: maximum 24 months.

Details

The funded solutions must demonstrate the potential to impact at least 150,000 European patients or citizens and be on the market with a minimum of €10,000 in revenue within 3 years at most after the end of the funding period. Eligible activities include: pivotal clinical trials, product finalization, market readiness and commercial strategy, and filing the dossier for CE certification. EIT Health uses its own Healthcare Innovation Cycle Framework (HIC) to assess the maturity level of the innovation (IML = Innovation Maturity Level).

Eligibility

Consortium of at least 2 organizations from different countries The consortium must represent at least 2 sides of the Knowledge Triangle (industry, research, education) A commercializing company (SME or other private entity) must lead the project Eligible solution: digital or AI-based medical device (according to MDR/IVDR) at IML 6, with the goal of reaching IML 7 Companies from the EU and Horizon Europe associated countries are eligible, including Romania
