MAGICIAN Open Call 2 is seeking innovative proposals to explore and validate the performance of the MAGICIAN framework in real-time production environments. The focus is on enhancing productivity, safety, and ergonomics in manufacturing through collaborative robotics and AI-driven defect detection and repair. This call aims to fund 5 projects that demonstrate the application of MAGICIAN capabilities in new sectors beyond the automotive industry. Projects must demonstrate the application of a maximum of 2 capabilities of the MAGICIAN framework in innovative domains beyond the automotive sector. Eligible sectors include Aerospace, Electronics, Heavy Industry & Energy, Interior design components, Maritime & shipbuilding, Public transports, Intermediate components based on glass, plastic, textile, and White goods.

Eligibility

Projects can be submitted by individual European SMEs or start-ups (Single AUC) or by a consortium of two companies (Twin AUC) preferably from different countries. Applicants must be legal entities established in eligible European countries. Proposals must be written in English and submitted by start-ups or SMEs. Proposals should address specific capabilities such as defect detection, human-robot interaction, or defect rework improvements.
