The total funding pool for the pilot phase is €100K, which will be distributed across the selected pilots. The exact distribution will depend on the evaluation by various departments at Fidelidade and Luz Saúde.

Details
Protechting is an open innovation programme designed to support high-potential startups developing solutions for insurance, healthcare, technology or sustainability. Supported by major corporate partners such as Fidelidade, Fosun Group and Hospital da Luz Learning Health, and implemented by Fábrica de Startups, the programme connects startups with relevant corporations to validate their solutions, conduct real-world pilots and access resources that enable development, market entry and international scaling. Participants receive mentorship, technical support, access to international corporate networks and the opportunity to join a China roadshow.
Eligibility
Startups must be legally established in any country and able to provide proof of registration if requested. They must have at least a prototype, MVP or proof of concept. Idea-stage applications are not eligible. Solutions must be relevant to one of the programme areas, such as insurtech, healthcare and healthtech, security, mobility, collaborative economy, technology, sustainability, wellness or lifestyle, disease detection, health management or patient services. Business models based solely on consultancy are not eligible.

The selection process, led by Fábrica de Startups in partnership with a jury of experts, carefully evaluates several key aspects of your application. Our team of evaluators will focus on your product, team, market potential, business model, and overall alignment with each of our partners. Each Protechting track embraces a sustainability mindset, integrated throughout the entire program. While not mandatory, incorporating a sustainability approach can strengthen your application and enhance its evaluation.
