Funding rate: Up to 100% Budget conditions / limitations: Each selected provider will receive funding up to €200,000. Payments: Made in three instalments: 35% at the start, 35% by month 6, and 30% by month 9.

Details

The main objective of the SYNAPSE Open Call is to showcase the clear integration paths of SYNAPSE across the EU Digital Infrastructures, validating the relevance and transferability of the platform in additional organizations. Through the SYNAPSE Open Call, services or evaluated in industries. In that context, around €700,000 are planned to be used for new beneficiaries including: One (1) organisation operating a digital infrastructure, which will serve as end-user and provide a new pilot for the SYNAPSE project (Open Call Beneficiary Type A), preferably in the fields of Electrical Energy, Water, Transportation, Telecommunications, FinTech, Manufacturing, Agrifood, Logistics, etc. The selected End-User/Use Case Provider will be funded with up to €300,000. Two (2) SME partners covering the cybersecurity supply-side, which will provide innovative technological solutions and services to the SYNAPSE project (Open Call Beneficiary Type B). Each one of the two selected Cybersecurity Service/Product Providers will be funded with up to €200,000. The two selected cybersecurity supply-side SMEs are expected to: Identify the precise technologies to be delivered, their specifications and the associated KPIs. Integrate their components into the SYNAPSE architecture. Develop, deliver and integrate components into the SYNAPSE platform and the Pilot testbed. Contribute to SYNAPSE’s domain demonstration, including: Integration of the technologies into all Pilot storylines. Integration of the chosen components into the Pilot deployments of the SYNAPSE platform. Demonstration of the integration of selected components on at least two of the SYNAPSE pilots, which will be jointly agreed between SYNAPSE and the selected candidates. Validation of relevant SYNAPSE and OC-specific KPIs.

Eligibility

Proposals should deliver innovative technological solutions and services that integrate into the existing SYNAPSE architecture. Beneficiaries are expected to develop, deliver, and integrate these components into the SYNAPSE platform and contribute to domain demonstrations. Sectors / domain: The call targets the cybersecurity domain, specifically focusing on enhancing AI and GenAI systems, such as LLM, ML, and DL models. Specific eligibility requirements: Eligible applicants must be legal entities established in EU Member States, Associated Countries, or Third Countries as per the updated list by the EC. Participants should be classified as SMEs. This call is specifically for individual SMEs that meet the eligibility criteria.
