Funding rate: 70% for for-profit entities, 100% for non-profit legal entities Budget conditions / limitations: - Up to 100,000 EUR for software solutions - Up to 200,000 EUR for hardware solutions Payments: Software (9 months): 15% (IMP & PoC), 60% (development), 25% (testing & validation) Hardware (12 months): 22.5% (IMP & prototype), 45% (development), 32.5% (testing & validation) Up to 15% may be delayed until AMALTEA project conclusion (Nov 2027)

AMALTEA invites up to 25 SMEs and start‑ups to develop, test, and validate cutting‑edge software and hardware solutions for façade applications, leveraging AI, digital twins, and advanced robotics. Each selected project will receive comprehensive technical mentoring, business coaching, and access to real‑world Pilots to ensure market‑ready solutions that meet Green Deal objectives. AMALTEA funds innovative software and hardware solutions to advance digitalisation, sustainability, and automation across the curtain-wall facade construction value chain. Projects must tackle one of the defined AMALTEA challenges and demonstrate TRL advancement (from TRL 3–5 to TRL 6–7). Construction sector, specifically focused on smart facades, digital tools, AI, robotics, automation, data-driven design, and sustainable building systems. Projects duration: Software solutions: 9 months; Hardware solutions: 12 months

Eligibility

Only individual applicants are allowed. The call is open to SMEs and start-ups (not consortia). Applicants must be SMEs or start-ups established by 30 October 2025 and legally registered in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe Associated Country. Applicants subject to EU restrictive measures or conflict of interest with AMALTEA partners are not eligible. Both for-profit and non-profit entities may apply, with different funding rates.

Additional information

Projects must address one of eight pre-defined challenges in either software or hardware domains, including AI-based design, data standardisation, web-based GUIs, advanced robotic inspection systems, adaptive manufacturing, and circular facade lifecycle solutions. In particular: - Challenge 1: Integrated data storage and standardization for digital facade systems. - Challenge 2: Parametric solution generator for AI training. - Challenge 3: Web-based GUI for design decisions of platform-independent accessibility. - Challenge 4: Advanced inspection and control systems for quality assessment in robotic manufacturing. - Challenge 5: Adaptive manufacturing and quality control. - Challenge 6: Advanced sensor integration for precise positioning in mobile robot navigation and building operations. - Challenge 7: Positioning of the robot platform and navigation with collision and interference detection. - Challenge 8: Life cycle and cost assessment.
